The Spark That Ignited a Movement

It all started with a message:

“Wanna be our first Chapter lead for AI Engineer Foundation’s Bulgaria?”

Sasha Sheng, Founder of AI Engineer Foundation San Francisco

For Yavor Belakov, Chapter Lead of the AI Engineer Foundation Europe, this message came at the perfect moment. Fresh from a mind-blowing trip to San Francisco, where he witnessed a thriving AI community with 2-6 events daily, Yavor was inspired to bring that same energy to Bulgaria.

“The average week in Bulgaria has 0 AI events,” Yavor realized. “It’s time to change that.”And change it, they did. In just one year, AIE.F Europe has organized over 20 events, bringing together more than 400 AI professionals, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts. Now, they’re taking it to the next level with Bulgaria’s biggest AI Hackathon.
